The company Nickelmesh SA of Biasca was founded in year 1981. New technologies were introduced. The production increased from 20'000 to 36'000 screens. Subsequently also the products' range enriched: the maximal length of the screens passed from 2'000 mm to 3'500 mm. From the year 1981 to 1986, the development of the rotary screens speed up considerably. All this development brought the company, that was been located until that moment in Rudolfstetten near Zurich, to extend itself. In year 1989 the company planed to build a new seat in Ticino and namely Biasca. Today the Nickelmesh SA of Biasca, said NIBIA, employs 180 persons. In the department Production, split in 3 shifts, the employees manufacture not only rotary printing screens for textile industry but also screens for wallpapers, carpets, paper and technical. With a yearly production of more than 200'000 screens and world-wide deliveries in more than 50 countries, the Nickelmesh SA has become an important partner for the printing industry.
Therefore it was a matter of course for the Nickelmesh SA to introduce successfully the ISO 9001 certification.
